Licensed Paralegal & Notary Public

Tamara Mahmoudi-Pruyn

Tamara Mahmoudi-Pruyn is a Licensed Paralegal and Notary Public in Ontario known for her strategic advocacy, professionalism, and commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal matters with practical guidance and thoughtful representation. She completed her Paralegal Diploma with Honours at triOS College, after which she successfully passed the Law Society of Ontario’s licensing examination and completed the licensing process.

Tamara brings practical insight to landlord and tenant matters, having grown up in a family with over 25 years of experience as responsible landlords, which informs her balanced and practical approach to dispute resolution. As a newly licensed paralegal, Tamara secured a competitive position as a Landlord and Tenant Paralegal at the Willowdale Legal Clinic in North York during the licensing process. Working in a fast-paced, high-volume legal clinic environment, she quickly developed extensive hands-on experience and a strong working knowledge of residential tenancy law. This role also provided significant insight into common strategies and practical dynamics at the Landlord and Tenant Board, giving her valuable inside knowledge of the tactics frequently used in proceedings and how they are addressed in hearings.

Tamara previously served on the Legislative Board of the Canadian Youth Alliance for Climate Advocacy (CYACA), a member organization of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). In this role, she contributed policy briefs, legislative analysis, and amendment proposals related to environmental legislation, including advocacy connected to Bill C-12, and met with Members of Parliament and political leaders to advocate for parliamentary accountability for climate action.
Tamara is committed to Access To Justice and is listed with ARCH Disability Law Centre and JusticeNet as a legal service provider for eligible individuals. She also undertakes select Pro Bono matters and works on contingency arrangements in appropriate cases, helping individuals with meritorious claims achieve favourable resolutions.
A former Niagara Grape & Wine Princess, Tamara volunteers with Canadian Blood Services and MADD Canada, and raises awareness about the important role paralegals play in improving Access To Justice across Ontario.
